Real Wedding: Taryn and Kyle Reception

Today is the last day of Taryn and Kyle's Wedding Week! As sad as we are to see this week go, we are so happy that we were able to share a part of this fun loving couple and their awesomely fun wedding! If you missed their adorable first look and portraits and touching outdoor ceremony you need to go back! All photos taken by Aaron Clark Photography were incredible and really captured the moment.

The reception is no different! From the marquee letters to the hand stamped planter boxes of flowers, this wedding is not lacking any personal touches or DIY details. Kyle even created their one-of-a-kind photo booth AND baked all the delicious treats for the dessert buffet! The guests had such a blast and the fireworks gifted to the couple from her uncle were such a sweet and festive touch. Enjoy!

How did you portray your personal styles into your wedding day?
Our personal style was seen everywhere because without that we would have just had tables on a lawn! We both worked so hard to create a beautiful setting and really searched for furniture and décor that we could not only use in our wedding, but in our home as well. But to give you one specific example, love of gold and fresh flowers was very tangible in the reception décor.

How sweet are these cake toppers?!

Handcrafted photo booth? Precious!

What’s the one décor aspect that you most loved and will remember?
Our most loved piece of décor was the K & T marquis signs that hung as the centerpiece of the event on the barn. I am especially proud of them because Kyle did an amazing job making them by hand, but they are also the centerpiece of our living room leaving us a perfect daily reminder of our special day.

What was your first dance song, and why?
Our first dance song was a cover of I’m Gonna Be (500 miles) by Sleeping at Last. Hearing that song by the Proclaimers from the 80’s era you can’t even hear the meaning of the words behind the crazy melody, but in this rendition is it a truly lovely and sentimental song without being gushy or over-used. That’s what we wanted the most – something original.

Real Wedding: Matt and Tanya's Reception

What a party! Tanya did such a beautiful job incorporating personal details, like photos, into her centerpieces of gold candles and florals. The Grandview Ballroom at Big Cedar was so romantic as the sun went down and the candle light on each table lit the room. Guests danced the night away with glow sticks and I LOVED seeing Tanya's grandparents out on the dance floor breakin' it down! They were amazing! The couple ended the night with a sparkler send off and the guests loved the heart shaped sparklers mixed in!

The head table featured long "Italian style" seating for the wedding party and their dates.

 The life of the party!

Congratulations again to Matt and Tanya! Such a wonderful week reliving your amazing wedding celebration! Thanks for allowing us to be a part of it.

Real Wedding: Matt and Tanya's Ceremony

This ceremony was so full of sweet emotion! The looks on their faces during the vows say it all. They had an absolute packed house in the chapel and it was such a testament to the type of kind and genuine people that they are and the friendships that are a result of it. It is such a joy to relive their ceremony through these photos again!

 Such a beautiful chapel.

I love this moment! I am often the first one to get to greet the couple as they exit the ceremony and it is the most joyful and exciting occasion. Quick congrats then on to photos!!

First picture together after the ceremony!

Portraits and reception to come! Stay tuned!
