Real Wedding: Kristi and Jason's Reception

This pair is quite the fairytale and they set out to have a celebration to show just that! From the vibrant floral-filled tree trunks, to the horse and carriage getaway, they didn’t miss a beat. Their fall-inspired color palette of oranges, reds, violets, and varieties of greenery, merely enhanced their profound joy. They wanted a woodsy, but wow inspiring soiree, and we at Abby Mitchell Events were all in! Decking the tables with crushed champagne linens and antique lace runners, we set to work to create centerpieces that were works of art and place settings that would allow guests to feel comfortable and welcomed.

The mossy foundation on the family style tables brought the outdoors in. We then added custom whitewashed candlesticks of various heights, sizes, and textures and small color-blasting arrangements of roses, berries, pincushion protea, and others. The other tables received various log displays. Round tables hosting a variety of birch vase arrangements wood-burned with the couple’s initials inside of a heart – the same motif used on all their paper products and other details.  The longest family style tables were mounted with eight foot long, hollowed out tree trunks overflowing with blooms.

Guests were treated to a lavish steak and lobster dinner with the couple’s brand (jHk) seared into each filet. Kristi and Jason danced the night away to a rock cover band and retired to a beautiful lake view cabin.

Overall, it was an exquisite evening full of sentimental details and hospitality unsurpassed by another couple. These two were the last ones out the door!
