Real Wedding: Taryn and Kyle First Look and Portraits

Taryn and Kyle's wedding was such a fun affair! As we look back on this gorgeously green, outdoor wedding, we remember all the love and hard work that went into making the couple's dreams come true! Kyle and Taryn created so many special touches and unique design features. We can't wait to share them all with you!

We are kicking the week off with these amazing portraits by Aaron Clark Photography. They truly capture the happiness that is this couple. We hope you enjoy reminiscing over Taryn and Kyle's first look and portraits as much as we have. Be sure to keep an eye out for more from this couple's wedding. We'll be posting their ceremony and reception photos later this week!

Awh! Look at the pure excitement on Kyle's face!

Oh, and don't forget about the dress. AMAZING!

What was your favorite photo location, and why did you choose it?
Our very thoughtful photographer, Aaron Clark, scoped out our ceremony location prior to the big day and found a lovely property down the road. He received permission from the property owner to photograph on their tree lined road and in front of their ivy covered antique barn. The pictures turned out amazing.

How great is this location? We simply adored all the greenery!

What one portrait would you choose to put above your mantle?
Well first, it’s quite hard to picture myself putting a portrait of myself above my mantle hah, but if it was going above my parent’s mantle, there is one in black and white where I am standing in the center of the road. The picture is very symmetrical and classic.

Styled Shoot: Modern Shabby Chic Wedding

This is a very exciting photo shoot for the Abby Mitchell Events team! Not only were we were thrilled to have been featured on one of our favorite blogs, Wedding Chicks, but this shoot is also the product of our first Intern Design Challenge. During the Intern Design Challenge, interns were put into pairs, and had the task of planning each other's dream wedding. The winner and creative mind behind this shoot was intern rockstar, Jenna Bezzole. We are so proud of her design concept!

The concept behind this feature was to create a fresh take on a shabby chic wedding without resorting to cliche design elements that are often used. We also wanted to show design aspects that were pretty and romantic, but also attainable on any budget! Jessica Yates Photography captured these beautiful photos showcasing the hard work put forth from our talented vendor friends. Be sure to check them out below!

Artistry in Bloom constructed a one of a kind bouquet for us with beautiful pink roses, peach ranunculus, and all natural cotton. The perfect balance of girly and rustic!

The gals at Vivo Salon did an INCREDIBLE job glamming up our models, and helping us add florals to the hairstyles.

Hand-painted cake tier sandwiched between tiers of strawberry shortcake, and cascading with fresh berries and flowers?! Tanya with Style by the Slice, never ceases to amaze us!

Brides and bridesmaids were perfectly outfitted with attire from Norman's Bridal. The flowing Allure Bridal gown paired with the sparkly head piece was absolute perfection!
