Trend: Napkin Bow Place Setting

We've all seen it alllllll over Pinterest - The bow tie napkin. This trend is getting spread all over the place and brides and party throwers galore are jumping on the bandwagon.

Here is the photo of our main Pinterest perpetrator. The one responsible for this napkin mayhem!

Not only is this particular fold becoming a trend, but bows and napkins are combining all over the place to dress up plates, picnics, and place settings.

Here are a few more pics of the trend duo.

Trend: Fancy Chairs

We have all seen the gorgeous chiavari chairs all over Pinterest being decorated to the nines in ribbons, ruffles, and glitz. I know they are fab, but at around $8 per chair to rent (without any extra snap) this trend is PRICEY!

As a proud bargain hunter, the cost of some rentals for chairs and covers make me cringe, but even worse is the ugliness of some venues' chair options. Unlike most trend posts, I have added some great DIY tips and prices per chair for some innovative ways to turn your "church basement chair" into a great party prop.

Here are some INSANE and GORGEOUS ideas that are out there now:

{Average Per Person Cost = $18-$20}

{Average Per Person Cost = $15}

 {Average Per Person Cost = $40}

{Average Per Person Cost = $15}

And here are some still pricey, but not gouging ideas:

{Average Per Person Cost = $10-$12}

{Average Per Person Cost = $15}

 {Average Per Person Cost = $10}

{Average Per Person Cost = $12}

And here are a few ideas to get your budget friendly mouths watering:

Gather chairs from your friends and neighbors for a family style, eclectic feel.
{Average Per Person Cost = Some really nice Thank You notes}

Spray paint your own metal folding chairs to match your colors. Great for a more modern wedding.
{Average Per Person Cost = $8}

Cheap fabric cut in strips can often be cheaper than rolls of ribbons. So find some yardage you like and get cutting!
{Average Per Person Cost = $5}

If you splurge for chiavari chairs, simply add an easy printable with ribbon to backs of chairs. You can use this for place cards, a monogram, or just do the Bride and Groom.
{Average Per Person Cost = $10-$12}

Last option - find a venue with great chairs that match your theme :) Easy right.

Trend: Ombre

It would be lying if I said I was over the ombre trend. It is taking the wedding scene by storm! From flowers, to invites, to even... (dare I say it) the dress, ombre is showing up in tons of show stopping ways.

These incredible floral arrangements are perfect on long family style tables but totally doable on a traditional round banquet table as well!

An adorable little DIY project! These ribbon wrapped candles can be used as favors, centerpiece accents, isle decor... the list goes on and on!

This streaky teal invitation is so modern and chic. I love the simple type used in order to enhance the artsy appeal.

I mean how fabulous is this watercolor version of ombre? I love the colors chosen, the font, and the type in white!

These fancy couples are taking it to a whole new level. Check out these super fun socks and gorgeous gowns!

The perfect way to incorporate this trend - the cake. I love how fresh this yellow buttercream version looks.

To really up the ante, ombre linens are a must. These napkins add the perfect amount of flare to this basic table design.

Check out this ombre custom linen that I made for our Showcase Event last month! You can see more photos of it here

Trend: Headpieces

Whether you are a bride, a party guest, a hostess with the mostest, or just out on the town - fancy head wear is taking the event scene by storm! I love getting a bride who likes to take risks with her wedding day fashion and fascinators, headbands, and hair accessories are the perfect way to snaz up your style.

Here are a few bridal looks that just blow me away:

And here are a few for the party goer, the bridesmaid.... the rest of us :)

Have you used a headpiece to spice up a look? Any styling tips for the rest of us!? Who doesn't love styling tips, I mean for reals.
